The best way to improve performance and the bottom line is to improve the way we think.
At a time when the World Economic Forum tells us the creativity is in the top three requirements for employees in 2020, there is no better time to skill up with Edward de Bono’s marquee creativity tools and processes.
Lateral Thinking helps us to find new ways forward that we did not know existed. It is a way of thinking that seeks solutions to intractable problems through unorthodox methods or elements that would normally be ignored by logical thinking.
Dr Edward de Bono divides thinking into two methods. He calls one “vertical thinking,” which uses the processes of logic–the traditional, historical method. He calls the other “lateral thinking,” which involves disrupting the normal thinking sequence and arriving at the solution from a different perspective.
Developing breakthrough ideas does not have to be the result of luck or a shotgun effort. Dr. de Bono’s proven Lateral Thinking methods provide a deliberate, systematic process that will result in innovative thinking.
This fully immersive and interactive workshop will skill participants in the lateral thinking tools along with an end to end process starting with:
Focus – How we improve the way we define our issues and opportunities to improve the likelihood successfully addressing them.
Idea Generation – means via which to better define the issues and opportunities at hand, generating new ideas to address them and Harvesting those ideas to aid in moving to action.
This two-day Lateral Thinking course in Melbourne on February 27 & 28, 2020 will cater for individual participants and will also cater for teams that attend and bring current real-life issues with them to work through.
Over the two days you will learn an end to end creative thinking process that will incorporate:
-
How to define and redefine your issues and opportunities.
-
Generating ideas and actions from “outside the box” with the application of the Lateral Thinking tools.
-
Learning how to categorise and organise the output of your idea generation.
-
Treating and assessing that output to maximise successful implementation.
