The answer to last week’s challenge is: Q: There are three sealed jars of apples. The first jar contains sour apples, the second jar contains sweet apples, and the third jar contains apples of both varieties. But the labels on each jar are wrong. With only one taste test allowed, how can you tell what’s in each jar?
A: Take an apple out of the jar marked “mixed.” if it is sweet then you know this is the sweet jar (because you know the labels are wrong). Then go to jar marked “Sour.” it can’t be sour or sweet so it has to be “mixed.” The remaining jar contain the sour apples.
This week’s challenge is:
Q: A father had 7 daughters. Each of the daughters had one brother. How many children did the father have?
The answer along with a new challenge, next week.
Have an excellent weekend …
