The answer to last week’s challenge is: Q: Three coins are placed side by side in a row touching each other. The leftmost one A, the middle one B and the rightmost C. How can you move A so that it will be between B and C without touching B and C?

A: Give A a gentle tap in the direction of B. B will push C without you having to touch it, forming a gap. Place A in the gap between B and C!

Q: There are three sealed jars of apples. The first jar contains sour apples, the second jar contains sweet apples, and the third jar contains apples of both varieties. But the labels on each jar are wrong. With only one taste test allowed, how can you tell what’s in each jar?
