The answer to last week’s challenge is. Q: Why is it against the law for a man living in Queensland to be buried in Victoria?

A: It is against the law to bury a person alive.

This week’s lateral thinking challenge is.

Q: There are ten socks of each of the following colours in a drawer: Blue, Green, Red, Yellow and White, a total of 50 socks. If the socks are randomly distributed in the drawer (i.e. not in pairs or any other grouping) and you are blind-folded, what is the minimum number of socks you must take from the drawer in order to be certain you have at least 2 socks of the same colour?
