The answer to last week’s lateral thinking challenge is. Q: A footballer bets you that they can kick a ball a certain distance, have it stop and then come directly back to him without anything or anyone else touching the ball. Can he do it and how?

A: He wins the bet by kicking the ball straight up into the air and then catching it as it falls.

This week’s lateral thinking challenge is.

Q: If you are walking forwards, but traveling backwards and the only motion is being provided by you (i.e. not on a train or in a river, etc) where are you?

The answer along with a new challenge will appear next Friday.

Have a good weekend …
