The answer to last week’s question is. Q: Two hitch-hikers were waiting for a lift, watching for passing cars. One was facing east toward the mountains, and the other facing west toward the sea. “You’re looking a bit rough this morning”, said one to the other without changing direction. How could they tell?

A: They were facing each other as they thumbed for lifts.

This week’s challenge is.

Q: A vinyl record measures 32 cm across. There is a 1 cm margin around the edge and a centre label that measures 10 cm across. There are 30 grooves per/cm. How far does the needle have to travel if the record is played from start to finish?
